Purchasing a whole or half hog from us is a collaborative process in which you, the customer, play an important role. While we, the farmers, raise, feed, and care for the pigs, you are responsible for deciding what you want the final product to look like. Once we drop your pig off at the butcher, you step in and take it from there. That means conversing with the butcher to get your questions answered and make sure you are getting the exact cuts, sausages, and cured items you want. Want your chops extra thick and bone-in or thin and boneless? Do you want smaller roasts to feed a couple or 5+ pound roasts for a big family? Do you want fresh pork belly for tacos or rice bowls, or cured sliced bacon for weekend breakfasts? Do you want chorizo, Italian, or breakfast sausage, or do you want to go with all plain ground pork? These are all decisions you will get to make, ensuring you get exactly what you want. And while we take your pig to the processor, you will have the experience of picking up your custom cut whole or half hog directly from the butcher.

If you've had our pork, you know it stands out. We raise a heritage cross breed of meat pigs that produce the most delicious, dark marbled pork you've ever seen. Our pigs are raised on our farm and are fed a custom feed of Montana grown grains and legumes, organic mineral, and supplemental amino acids. All of our feed is ground fresh on the farm and is free of corn and soy. Our pigs spend their lives outdoors, absorbing tons of Vitamin D, rooting, grazing, wallowing, and lounging. They are happy and healthy, and truly produce the very best pork. For the first time in a number of years we are offering whole & half hogs for sale. These pigs are currently just-weaned piglets and will spend the next 6 months being pigs and living the good life. We are reserving only a portion of our pigs to sell as wholes and halves, so reserve yours now for harvest in May 2026.

There's a reason we get so many requests for whole and half hogs. First, it's a deal! You will save $2-$20 per pound depending on the cut (so much savings on bacon!!). Second, you get to choose exactly what you want. Don't want roasts? Great - have them ground or made into steaks. Want tons of breakfast sausage? Easy to do! Third, cooking meals from freezer storage is so convenient. Don't know what to make for dinner or meal prep? Take a look at what you have in the freezer and start there!
